Merino Wool
100% Merino Wool
An exceptional fiber
Our merino wool comes from Australia, a country recognized as the best producer of this material. The name "merino" is a guarantee of quality because it certifies that the wool comes from Merino sheep, which has light, fine hair and is resistant to extreme temperature variations.
This fiber is of finesse and flexibility that are quite exceptional, which makes it pleasant to wear next to the skin. It is also very soft compared to other wools thanks to the choice of the finest and longest fibers at the time of spinning.
Soft and fresh wool
Merino wool is pleasant to wear, it has the additional quality to regulate humidity, to be breathable. So this allows you to keep hot in winter, but also to be pleasant to wear in the spring or for a summer evening because it remains fresh.
Certified RWS (Responsible Wool Standard)
The RWS certification aims to guarantee wool from farms that have a progressive approach to managing their land and sheep treated in a responsible manner.
This standard guarantees respect for animal welfare, meaning freedom from hunger, thirst, and malnutrition; freedom from fear and distress; freedom from physical and/or thermal stress; freedom from pain, injury, and disease; and the freedom to express normal behavior for its species.
RWS certification also guarantees the preservation of soil health (protection of soil, biodiversity, and native species), and the physical traceability of the certified wool.
These criteria are validated at every stage, from the production of the fiber to the sale (certified by ECOCERT 277257-EGL).
Today, almost all of our merino wool products are RWS certified; this is mentioned on each relevant product sheet.
