We work exclusively with the finest quality silk from China, the country most renowned for this noble material. The quality of silk depends on its thickness, softness and flexibility. We work with a silk fabric up to a exceptional thickness of 16/19 momme (unit of weight of silk), very rarely used due to the high cost of this sumptuous material.

 Our silk is grade 6A, one of the best quality on the market.

Silk is made from the Bombyx Mori silk worm, and the cocoon he weaves that can create ply going up to 1.3km! The ply is then woven to create fabrics by intertwining ply in chain (in the length of the fabric) and in frame (in the width of the fabric).

It is at this stage that we can get different rendered: crepe, satin, muslin, taffeta, velvet. Because a ply silk is actually a combination of several ply fine, combined then twisting together. The more ply is twisted, the more robust and flexible the fabric, but the less it will have the shiny and satin appearance.

We work silk in different ways with the aim of bringing modernity to this material.

For example, we play with weaving techniques to give different looks: crepe, satin, chiffon. Our crepe has just enough matte to maintain a soft touch and keep its suppleness. Our satin has a shiny finish that makes colors pop and feels smooth. Our chiffon is very light and offers a subtle transparency.

We also use very assertive colors and patterns using different techniques: jacquard or printed.
